The commissioner of the Division of Finance is required by Section 408.030.3 RSMo to determine the market rate for usury and to publish it. The rate is generally published approximately three weeks prior to the beginning of each calendar quarter.
The market rate for interest under Section 408.030.3 shall be 7.21 percent for the period October 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024; as an alternative, lenders may charge the usury rate of 10 percent.
